Will You Be Ready For The Season End signature Races?
Your first race should feel like something to look forward to. The Root 1 Series is B1KE’s grass roots introduction to downhill racing, with approachable tracks, a welcoming atmosphere and room to find your feet between the tape.
There’s still a clock running and a finish line to chase, but you don’t need race experience to get involved. Come with your mates or meet people on the hill, learn from each run and enjoy the challenge of putting it all together when it counts. Whether you’re chasing a position or simply getting your first race under your belt, there’s plenty to take away from the day.
For 2027, make Root 1 your starting point. Build confidence, develop your race skills and discover what keeps riders coming back. If you’re ready for a more technical challenge, our Signature Races offer a next step.
More technical tracks. More demanding terrain. A fresh challenge at every venue. B1KE’s Signature Races are standalone downhill events for confident riders who want to put their skills to the test.
Each event draws on the character of its host park, with a course that rewards control, commitment and good line choices. If you’ve built your confidence at Root 1 or already have race experience, this is your opportunity to take on a tougher course and find out how you measure up against the clock.
There are no series points to chase: every event is a separate competition, with results decided on the day. Enter one or take on several across the B1KE Network—the choice is yours. Check the course information for each event and choose the challenge that suits your riding.

£45 Entry
Under 14s need to be accompanied on site by an adult (18+) –
✅ Full-face helmets are MANDATORY – No helmet, no race!
✅ Bar end plugs MUST be inserted – Safety first!
✅ A front brake is REQUIRED – No exceptions.
✅ E-bikes are permitted but MUST be switched off during the race – Keep it fair!

Race Day: What to expect
B1KE race days are where riders, spectators, and the mountain biking community come together for an unforgettable day on the hill. Whether you’re chasing podiums, soaking up the adrenaline, or cheering from the sidelines, it’s an experience packed with excitement, camaraderie, and plenty of action.
The Day Unfolds
Gates open at 7:30 am, giving riders time to check in, grab their number, and complete the all-important track walk. Sign-on is open from 8:00 to 9:30 am, with practice laps kicking off at 9:00 am sharp. Every rider gets to complete two practice runs before racing begins at 11:00 am, setting the stage for an exhilarating day.
A Spectator’s Paradise
Not racing? You’re still in for an incredible day! Bring your friends, family, and fans to soak up the atmosphere and get close to the action. Cheer on your favourites, wander the race village, and enjoy the buzz of competition from the best viewing spots on-site. Spectators are always welcome, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
A Hub of Activity
Off the track, the race village is alive with energy. Refuel with a top-notch burger from Mountain Burgers or grab a fresh coffee from Box Brew, while browsing gear and chatting with the experts from TF Tuned, Melon, TMC, Wheelies, and Winch and Plummet. It’s the perfect place for spectators to relax and get involved while riders take to the course.
When the Clock Starts
With two timed runs, it’s all about bringing your best on the day. The courses are carefully designed to offer something for everyone, combining flow, challenge, and a little bit of grit. Whether you’re setting personal goals or competing for the fastest time, each run is a chance to push limits and soak up the race-day atmosphere.
Capturing Every Moment
Photographers are stationed across the course, capturing the spills, thrills, and everything in between. From riders tackling technical sections to the roaring support from the crowd, every moment is immortalised, ready to share and relive.
Safety First
Your safety is our priority, with experienced marshals and first-aid support on-site. Helmets are mandatory for all riders, and we recommend extra protective gear to keep everyone confident and covered. Riders are encouraged to look before they leap and ride within their limits—because race day is about enjoying the experience as much as the competition.
The Grand Finale
The day wraps up with prize-giving at 4:00 pm, where we celebrate not just the winners but the spirit of everyone who made the event memorable. Whether you’re riding or spectating, it’s a chance to soak in the day’s highlights and connect with the MTB community.
